$200,000 Solid Gold Millennium Puzzle Produced
Will Be Going On Official Display On December 19th
That’s right, a “real” Millennium Puzzle has been created. It seems to have been made to celebrate and promote the upcoming “Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions” movie. The puzzle (which weighs about 1.5 Kg) has been valued at 25 MILLION YEN, or approximately $200,000.
We know it’s probably just our fond memories of the show that make us feel this way, but at Anime Command Center we can’t help but think that the puzzle looks ominous. Dangerous, even.
To the best of our knowledge, no human lives were sacrificed in the creation of this Millennium Puzzle. Probably.

This solid gold artifact will be on display at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba from 19 – 20 December for the Jump Festa 2015 event. Meanwhile, the Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark of Dimensions film will open in Japanese theaters starting April 23, 2016, and will feature the return of the characters from the original Yu-Gi-Oh! series, most especially Kaiba and Yugi.

Unfortunately, this item was one-of-a-kind, and it was sold at the Jump Festa 2015 event in Chiba, Japan.
After that, we don’t know what’s happened to it, but we presume that the buyer still has it in their collection.
