Assassin’s Creed Anime Announced by Netflix’s “Castlevania” Producer

Project In Early Phases

Netflix has produced a large number of original shows now, and even a number of anime.  It looks like Ubisoft is looking to have one produced, and is looking towards Adi Shankar – the man who produced the 4-Episode “Castlevania” animation – to do the job.

Adi Shankar’s official statement on the subject is as follows:

I’m happy to let you guys know that I’ve selected my next project! I played the first edition of Assassin’s Creed the year I moved to Los Angeles to pursue my dream. At that moment I knew absolutely no one in the industry and could never have imagined that one day Ubisoft would ask me to take the world of Assassin’s Creed and create an original story set in it as an anime series. If anyone tells you not to follow your passion in life they are wrong.

That isn’t too much to go on, but if it’s anything like the Castlevania anime, it’ll be a short series promoting the main game series, and perhaps introducing people who are new to the series to some of the more necessary lore.

Will you be checking it out when it’s released?  There’s still a long ways to go until then, and more info will be released at a later date.
