“Evangelion” First Ride Attraction Set to Open at Universal Studios Japan in December

60-Meter Colossal Titan Also In Construction For Other Attraction

Major construction is happening at Universal Studios Japan, as they continue to strive to produce unique experiences and programming.  They have produced specials such as “Godzilla The Real 4D” and “Sengoku: The Real at Osaka Castle,” among many others.

Two other attractions that they’re building are dedicated to the Evangelion franchise and the much more recent Attack on Titan.

These Special Attractions aren’t meant to stay open forever – there’s a limited window of opportunity to see them, ever.  About half a year, to give you an idea.

Godzilla The Real 4D


Following the previously announced “Godzilla The Real 4D” and “Sengoku: The Real at Osaka Castle,” Universal Studios Japan today revealed details on two more attractions for its upcomingUniversal Cool Japan 2017 event to kick off in December 2016, “Evangelion XR Ride” and “Attack on Titan: The Real 4D 2.”

The time-limited Universal Cool Japan event was launched in 2015 and has held various attractions inspired by popular Japanese pop culture franchise, such as Evangelion, Attack on Titan, Biohazard (Resident Evil), Monster Hunter, and Japanese pop singer Kyary Pamyu Pamyu.

“Evangelion XR Ride” is the first ride attraction inspired by the Evangelion franchise launched in 1995. In the faithfully reproduced world of Evangelion with 360 view, guests riding on a vehicle with unpredictable reactions will have to get away from the attacks of the Angels at terrific speed. And it is also confirmed that the iconic 60-meter Colossal Titan and the Armored Titan will finally appear in the “Attack on Titan The Real 4D 2” theater attraction.

The four attractions will open from December 16, 2016, to June 25, 2017.
