Excitement Grows for Ingress Anime

Pokémon Go may dwarf Ingress in popularity due to brand recognition, but Niantic’s first AR game IP isn’t dead – and in fact, it’s getting an anime!

The official YouTube channel for the Ultra+ programming block began streaming an “Awakening” promotional video on Thursday for the Ingress anime based on Niantic‘s AR game. The channel is also streaming two shorter trailers, made mostly of the same scenes.

The trailers were received well by fans, and the release of the anime may give the game another boost in popularity.  We’re looking forward to see how they treat enlightened versus resistance in this official story!
