Virtual Singer Created In Japan Sells Out Concert In North America

New Type of Concert – Not Performed by Humans!

It’s not odd for a singer to sell out tickets to a concert – but it is odd for the singer to not be human.  However, that has now become a reality.

The Visual Artist called IA is a digital identity “born” in 2012.  She’s been singing and even performing for audiences for three years now.

She was created in Japan, but she’s now had an incredibly successful North American Debut Concert!  Her concert was part of Anime Expo 2015, and played to a played to a packed crowd.

IA is actually a way for many different human creators to get their works showcased, so she sings music made by a number of different songwriters.  I find it to be quite an interesting concept, and I’d love to go to one of her concerts sometime.  Would you? had this to say about it –

It was Independence Day on July 4 and IA finally opened her brand new chapter. The live concert took place at Club Nokia, LA Live, the shrine of American pop music in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, and it was a part of the Cool Japan Festival presented by Anime Expo 2015, the largest anime convention in North America.
