“Ace Attorney” Anime Premiering Soon

The Ace Attorney franchise was always rife with anime-style influence, and as such, made a prime candidate for an anime series, which now has many fans eagerly awaiting its debut.

Well, the announcement has been made, and the premier date is less than two months away.  We and many others look forward to what can be made of this quirky and beloved series.

Take That! The official website for CAPCOM’s Ace Attorney anime has revealed that it will premier April 2nd and it will air on Saturdays on YTV and NTV at 5:30 p.m.. The full title should be Gyakuten Saiban: Sono “Shinjitsu,” Igi Ari! (Ace Attorney: That “Truth,” Is Objection!), but sources differ about the taglne. Ayumu Watanabe (Space Brothers, Doraemon films) will direct it at A-1 Pictures, and Atsuhiro Tomioka (Pokémon XY, Trinity Blood) will handle the composition. Kaoru Wada (InuYasha, Princess Tutu) is composing the music, and Keiko Ōta (Hyakko) is designing the characters.
