Sanji Finally Returning To One Piece! (With Origin Story)

The Live Audience’s Cheers At The Announcement Will Be Used In The Anime!

Whether you love it or hate it, One Piece has an absolutely MASSIVE following, and continues to be widely popular to this day.

For those not in the know, something happened that doesn’t often happen in such a popular show – one of the MAIN CHARACTERS just up and disappeared from the manga! He wasn’t dead, but Sanji hasn’t appeared in a chapter of the One Piece manga for almost two years.

And then something happened that we consider to be very sweet and cool – they recorded the audience cheering when the announcement was made of Sanji’s continued participation in 2016.  The cheers from that event will actually be included in the anime itself.  Now that is a nice touch.

Despite his status as one of the main crew members of the Straw Hat Pirates, Sanji up and disappeared in the One Piece manga for almost two years. He first left in chapter 730 on December 9, 2013 and didn’t return until chapter 795 on August 3, 2015.

The staff and Eiichiro Oda assured fans that Sanji will return in 2016 with an origin story. Sanji’s voice actor Hiroaki Hirata will also return.

Oh, you could probably guess but we’ll find out the mystery of ‘Alive Only’ within the year.
