Trailer: Kyoto Animation’s “Myriad Colors Phantom World”

Looks To Have Super-Colorful Action Sequences

Previews for Kyoto Animation studio’s winter 2016 adaptation of Soichiro Hatano’s Myriad Colors Phantom World light novel has been posted. The series premieres January 6th.

The animation shows promise, and Kyoto Animation has certainly earned quite a few fans with the quality of it’s work.

On the other hand, for some people this is a clear no-go.  It shows signs of being both the “school-of-magic light novel adaptation” trope and…ecchi harem elements.  Both of these have tired out a lot of viewers recently.

The girls’ powers look like they could be quite cool, though, and it has it’s quality animation going for it, so it’s going to be up to your particular tastes as to whether you’re going to like it.

The second video includes what may be a miniature tsundere genie (she appears in the first video as well, just not quite as tsundere).  Watch below!
