ZeldaMotion Kickstarter and Project CANCELLED

Well, it’s not too, surprising, really, but since we reported it opening, we figure we should report it closing.
To review, a group called “Aeipathy Industries” was creating an animated version of A Link to the Past, and had recently started up a Kickstarter to help them speed up the project.
It seems quite a few people were concerned with IP issues regarding this project, and in the end, Aeipathy Industries listened to that feedback and decided to shut down the project.
It is important to note that all money that had been raised so far on Kickstarter will be returned to the fans who donated it, so rest assured on that count. The Kickstarter website will do this automatically, without the money ever going to Aeipathy Industries, so that should calm any concerns of fraud, if there were any.
Things may get a little bit complicated, though, as even after it was cancelled, it has become listed as the subject of an intellectual property dispute. This shouldn’t change the overall outcome (the project is still cancelled), but if you were a backer, you’ll have to wait and see how that affects the return of your funds.
And…that’s about it. Best wishes and condolences to everyone involved, and best of luck in the future.
